Expedition Wales are specialists in trekking activities, hill walking, mountaineering and expeditions. We also run weekend breaks and courses in navigation, bushcraft and survival skills. We are a friendly organisation aiming to challenge, teach and ensure you have a highly enjoyable outdoor experience. All of our courses and breaks can be tailored to suit your ability.

Expedition Wales Courses

We run a number of navigation, bushcraft and survival skills courses and are a recognised by DofE Award as an Approved Activity Provider. Courses are friendly and flexible and a great way to meet like minded people and make new friends. We can design a course to suit you and for a full list of current courses please see our website.

Map Reading and Navigation Skills Courses
1 day basic navigation skills
1 day Intermediate Navigation
2 Day Confident Explorers Course
Get the knowledge and confidence to explore the outdoors, these courses cover map reading, compass use, planning routes, timing and pacing, navigating in poor visibility and problem solving.

Guided Walking Breaks in Wales – Get Off the Beaten Track

Whether you are looking for a one day guided hike or a walking holiday enjoying a few days of enjoyable hiking routes we can tailor a trip to suit you. This is ideal for families and groups of friends.

Wales provides break taking landscape making your walks even more pleasurable. Expedition Wales takes you off the beaten track to some of the most scenic and enjoyable routes to suit your abilities. Walking breaks for ladies only and men only are also optional.

Accommodation
There is a selection to suit everyone’s taste and budget, including camping, bunk houses, B&B’s and hotels.

Wooden Wigwam Adventure Break
This fantastic wooden wigwam sleeps up to 5 people. During the day you can enjoy guided hikes, nature walks, mountain biking and more and at night it’s in a great spot for star gazing.

Multi-Activity Breaks
Would you like an action packed break including guided hikes, cycling, climbing and other outdoor adventures? We have partnered up with activity specialists and can arrange a break suitable for you.
