Description

South Penquite is a working organic farm in the heart of Cornwall, high on Bodmin Moor and is famous for its family-friendly camping. Throughout the summer they run a number of fun courses for campers and have facilities for field studies, giving educational groups and schools the opportunity to learn about local environment.

Bushcraft Days

A great introduction for all ages to bushcraft learning essential field skills you can use on your holiday and beyond. Learn about local wildlife and the environment. The course covers shelter building, fire lighting and safety, and cooking on an open fire.

Family Art Workshops

Get creative during your stay. Roam the farm, collect natural materials and create a masterpiece. We have activities for all ages, from clay sculpting to felt making, mud painting, willow scultping and lantern making. Mini yurt making is a 2 day course that the whole family can enjoy, making a complete play set to take home.

Photography Workshops

This is a great opportunity for both absolute beginners and those more advanced to learn about features and functions whilst exploring the farm and surrounding landscapes. Learn the basics to indoor lighting for portraits and still life also.

Fishing

Great for brown trout, come and enjoy a day on the river, falling in ditches and hoping that 2lb whopper will take your hook.

Field Studies

An ideal setting for schools and educational training. Learn about organic livestock farming, handling animals, habitat management and much more.

Camping

The farm has great camping facilities, hot water showers, fridge/freezer, laundry, phone charging, hairdryers, and a kids play area.
