Patterdale Hall is the ideal location for an outdoor education centre, providing a full range of activities, located in the heart of the Lake District at the end of Lake Ullswater.

Our centre is ideally located for operating a full range of outdoor activities both in the extensive grounds and just offsite. Withing the grounds activities such as archery, low ropes course and gorge walking take place. There are also 3 local rock climbing crags within a short walk and 3 boathouses where the kayaks and canoes are kept along with the dinghy sailing boats. We can provide RYA Sailing and power boating courses.

School Groups

Patterdale Hall runs predominantly as a school residential learning centre and holds an Adventurous Activities License. The accommodation caters for up to 60 young people and programmes are designed specifically around each group and their adventure learning needs.

Corporate Groups

This is a great venue from which to run corporate events and team building. You can combine the developmental and fun outdoor activities with learning skills such as negotiation, working together, leadership, which can all be related back to the work place.

If you are looking for a centre for a weekend or a short break that provides great accommodation for a big group and also the activities on your door step then Patterdale Hall is ideal. We can cater for 68 people in 2 wings of our hall and can provide you with a multi-activity programme designed specifically for your group. We also provide the ideal setting for weddings with plenty of accommodation and beautiful grounds.

Accommodation

Patterdale Hall is a beautiful Victorian Country House that sleeps up to 68 people, providing fully catered accommodation for any group size. We have spacious facilities that include dining room, games room including pool table, lounge room and classroom.
