The Mount Batten Centre is located on the edge of Plym Estuary, just outside of Plymouth. We are ideally located to provide a range of exciting and challenging Watersports and land sports.

Residential School Trips

The unique location of the Mount Batten Centre makes it perfect for school trips, we are also accredited by AALA and the Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge. We tailor packages to suit schools ensuring you achieve your desired learning outcomes and the enjoyment, challenge and fun of our outdoor activities.

Watersports in Plymouth – Sailing, Windsurfing, Canoeing and Kayaking, Coasteering

The Mount Batten Centre is RYA and BCU accredited, and we take great pride on the safety and quality of our instruction. We cater for all abilities, from the complete beginner looking for a taster session, to the advanced sailors and paddlers looking for certification and instructor courses.

Kayaking and Canoeing – explore the Devon coast by water, sessions from 2 hours to BCU instructor training
Dinghy and Keelboat Sailing –RYA Training from beginner to advanced in an amazing coastal location
Windsurfing – Challenging, wet, wild and GREAT FUN.
Coasteering – Swim, climb and jump your way along the coast line, adrenaline fuelled fun for all.
Powerboat Experience – A fun ride on a large rib exploring the picturesque coastline – watch out for dolphins!

Land Adventures

We have a great range of activities off the water also, including orienteering, team challenges, rock climbing and abseiling, gorge walking and more.

Stag and Hen Groups

Make your stag party or hen do one to remember! Try something different, get the group together for a coasteering sessions or racing keelboats. We can tailor a package to suit your group and can arrange accommodation and catering also.

Accommodation

Our residential centre has 23 rooms and sleeps up to 53 people. Ideal for individuals, groups, families and schools – an excellent location and affordable, suitable for every activity break.
