Description

Photography courses and workshops with Gavin Parsons take you into the stunning Dorset countryside where you’ll learn everything from the basics of photography to highly creative techniques. You can either join an organised beginner or intermediate course, a workshop for several people or undertake one-to-one tuition.


Photography Courses

Gavin Parsons’ courses are for either beginners or intermediate level photographers. New for 2013 is the start of monthly courses, which aim to improve your skills dramatically on a single day of tuition.

Each course teaches you how to research a subject; investigate a location and assess how best to work with the light. They also include experimenting with flash, creative lens choices, working with composition and camera angles. There is a lot to consider when getting the perfect image and you will leave with experience and knowledge to move forward with your photography.

Also new for 2013 is a new course for camera phone users. Don't think just because you use a camera phone you can only take snaps. With some of Gavin Parsons' guidance you can create works of art from your smart phone.

Photography Workshops

Workshops are themed to a season, and are run in Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn, but all teach the same fundamentals of photography. We care about your experience level and workshops are tailored to your specific requirements, so there’s ample opportunity to experiment and improve. We will also make the most of wildlife opportunities that arise, which can include anything from reptiles to deer and any number of bird species.


Photography Walks

Each course and workshop takes place in a hand picked location and involves a good walk through the beautiful Dorset countryside. Non participating photography friends and partners are welcome to join us on the day and explore the some of Dorset’s hidden secrets.

Photography Breaks

Workshops are full days out and often start early to capture the excellent light. Why not make a stay out of it as we can recommend some excellent local accommodation and cozy country pubs.
