Wine Rides provide exciting and unique cycle touring holidays in East Sussex. Our 3 day cycling holidays and weekend breaks explore the beautiful rolling countryside in the South East of England while visiting some of the best UK vineyards.

These cycling holidays run 3 weekends a month and start from Wadhurst Station in East Sussex, making our cycling breaks easily accessible by train and by car from London and the South and East of England.

Who Is Suitable?

We welcome everyone and all ages over 18 on our vineyard cycling breaks. They are great for couples looking for a weekend with a difference, groups of friends wanting a unique experience and to share a great time and also individuals looking to meet new friends and like-minded people.

All cycling abilities are welcome also. Our routes have been chosen to appeal to the majority of riders and varied fitness levels. We ensure you have a fantastic cycling holiday.

You can borrow a bike or bring your own.

A typical Wine Rides Weekend

Day 1 – we meet you at Wadhurst station where we take your luggage and fit you up with a bike if you are borrowing. We start with a guided cycle to a picnic spot where we provide you with lunch. Then it’s a self-guided ride to the first vineyard. Maps and pictures for self-guidance are provided, highlighting the best pubs and natural beauty spots on the way.

The evening includes a vineyard tour and wine tasting, 3 course meal and exclusive camping at this spectacular vineyard with breath-taking views.

Day 2 - We tailor the route and distance to suit you, from a flatter route to a 40-60 miles ride. You can go via a beach, vineyards and historical castles such as Bodiam or Sissinghurst.

Camp is set up on another splendid vineyard where you will indulge in more wine tasting and a 3 course meal.

Day 3 - The final ride is possibly the most beautiful, heading back to Wadhurst station with a recommended lunch stop at Marshals Lake.

Fine Dining

The evening meal is a rustic, local and seasonal menu and there is plenty to go round after a long day of cycling.

Exclusive Camping on a Vineyard

A tented village is set up for your arrival and luggage is transferred between camps. Couples, pairs or individuals get a tent to themselves. Choose from the deluxe bell tents which include double air bed, duvet and pillow or more basic tents with air bed and pillow included. This is not a campsite but portable toilets and showers with hot water are available.

Come and enjoy a real camping adventure without the hassle of bringing kit or setting up. We ensure you get an authentic camping experience that keeps you warm, dry and well fed and provides you with fond memories to cherish.

Simple tents:
