Mobile Outdoor Activity Provider. Here at Alternative Adventure and Outdoor Activities Service we specialise in delivering outdoor and adventures activities and outdoor pursuits to Individuals, families, small and large groups, including stag and hen parties, adult and children’s birthday parties, corporate management events and school and youth groups.

We are mobile. We can deliver activities at your venue or at sites near to you. Our main area of operation is in and around North West of England, providing outdoor adventure activities to Lancashire, West Pennine Moors, Forest of Bowland, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, Southern Pennines. We also offer walking expeditions to the Wilds of Scotland.

The Activities

We offer a wide range of exciting, challenging and fun outdoor activities for all ages and abilities in the North West of England. Whether you are a complete novice and looking to do a taster session, would like to improve existing skills with qualified instructors or are highly advanced and looking to become qualified instructors yourself. Enjoy multi-activities with us, combine canoeing and sea cliff traversing, archery and raft building, survival skills and problem solving, winter or summer mountaineering and much more.

Adventure Days

These are tried and tested programmes that take in the best locations and use 2 or 3 popular activities to fill a memorable day. Activities include Archery, Orienteering, Gorge Walking, Mountain Biking, Archery, Orienteering, Abseiling, Rock climbing, Mountain Biking and Canoeing. Combinations depend on venues used.

Mobile Climbing Walls

We are the premier provider of Mobile Climbing Walls in the North of England since 2001. We own 3 mobile climbing walls, which are available to bring an added zest to your event or activity day. This is an ideal activity for many events, such as: Corporate day; Product launches; Fairs; Extended School schemes; Park events; Country Shows; Schools, Scout and Guide events; Pub fun days and more.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Alternative Adventure provides training and assessment for Duke of Edinburgh Awards. We put together great courses covering all aspects of your expedition, for Bronze Silver and Gold. This includes navigation, camp craft, equipment and planning food etc. We can train and assess expeditions in walking, mountain biking and kayak / canoeing.
