Woodland Survival Crafts specialises in Bushcraft and Survival techniques and is one of the longest established companies of its type in the UK. With over 30 years of experience Dave Watson is able to offer many high quality courses whether it is in depth training for out door professionals or a fun day out for the family.


Bushcraft and Survival Training

As an approved trainer with the Institute for Outdoor Learning our Bushcraft for Practitioners courses are an ideal way to grasp some of the key skills and gain confidence and competence in shelter building, friction fire lighting etc.

Family Bushcraft Events

One day or a weekend we have a whole range of exciting activities and games to suit the whole family,overnight camping, learning ancient skills, building shelters and wilderness cooking, a great family bonding experience.

Adult Bushcraft Days

Ideal as an introduction to the whole concept of Bushcraft and Survival, learn to make shelters and light fires using friction.

Winter Bushcraft Weekends

For the more adventurous, we will teach you techniques to survive hostile and wintery conditions.

Courses for Schools and young people

We have developed original courses designed to challenge and get the best out of children, building their
self-esteem and confidence. Ideal for schools and youth organisations.

Lime Bark Weekend

Enjoy a weekend learning the facinatiting skills of working coppiced bark into great natural rope and string
as well as making simple containers and baskets.

Wild Food and Wilderness Cookery.

Gain confidence in identifying some of our inspiring wild food plants as well as having fun cooking in a variety of ways over and in the campfire.
