Have you ever looked skyward and wondered what it would be like to soar like a bird, effortlessly using the power of nature to glide serenely over the country side? Now you can! Bicester Gliding Centre is running week-long holiday courses to get YOU gliding.

Bicester Gliding Centre and its historic WW2 airfield is based just North of Oxford. From here they run a number of lessons, taster sessions and competitions throughout the year. They have an exciting opportunity for beginners age 14 to 114 to come and spend a week long holiday learning to fly these beautifully sleek aircraft
Learn to glide in a week

You will start with an introduction to gliding which include some basic ground instruction and an introduction to the glider. The emphisys is certainly on flying and the aim is to do of much of it as possible. the flying will be with a fully certified British Gliding Association instructor and you will be able to get your hands on the controls from the first flight.

Evenings are very social and often spent relaxing over a BBQ or in the clubs bar where the banter is plentiful and the days stories requiring more the one drink to get through

Accommodation

The club has facilities on site for you to camp or bring a caravan, or we can help arrange accommodation locally in B&B's or hotels which give preferential rates.
