Pentre Riding Stables

Our trekking centre has been established for many years and we provide something for everyone looking to ride. We have cosy purpose-built b&b accommodation adjoining the farm house. Our centre is ideal for couples, families, individuals and parties.

Pony Trekking

Located close to Brekon Beacons means you can enjoy the unspoilt hills and stunning views whilst you ride. There are many bridle paths and open hills that we can guide you across. We cater for all standards and our rides are tailored to your abilities. Groups of up to 20 are possible and we include assessment and instruction to all. Rides are anything from 1.5 hours to full-day long.

Riding Instruction

BHS qualified instruction is available to all ages and all disciplines. We have 2 well-equipped outdoor schools and we provide suitable horses for your ability or lessons on your own horse. Specialist tuition is available for the more experienced riders or those training for competitions, such as jumping.

Children's Riding Holidays

Pentre run regular activities for children and our holiday packages include everything you need for a fun and education holiday the kids won't ever forget. Accommodation is provided and we include a suitable pony, daily trekking, riding lessons and games. They will learn stable management including mucking out, working around horses in a stable and horse care.

Children's Riding Parties are available and a great and unique way to have fun and experience horse riding.

Our Horses

We currently have 25 schooled horses and ponies all ranging in size. They are fit and well-mannered and able to cope with the hilly environment and terrain for all levels of riders.

Feel free to bring your own horse on holiday and we will provide livery and arrange the daily outings, either guided or self-guided.
