Description

Since 1984, thousands of walkers have experienced that special something our walking holidays achieve.

All our leaders are well qualified and experienced for the activities of which they are in charge. Training and assessment is through the MLTUK recognised schemes of Walking Group Leader, Summer Mountain Leader, Winter Mountain Leader and International Mountain Leader. All our walking guides hold one or more of these nationally recognised qualifications.

C-N-Do is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority to provide all the activities in our programme to unaccompanied under 18 year olds.

Graded Walks
Our walking holidays are graded from 1-6 in relation to the level of fitness and experience required.

Grade 1 is designed for novices and would typically involve 5-8 miles a day over 4-6 hours plus stops on flattish or mildly undulating terrain, mostly on paths.

A Grade 3 would suit fit novices, regular vigorous exercisers, regular hill walkers / hikers. Good fitness and stamina is required. Walking would typically involve longish varied paths or rough unpathed hillsides. 8-14 miles over 6-8 hours plus stops.

A Grade 6 is designed for regular regular hill walkers/hikers. Must be fit and experienced enough to enjoy long days with significant ascent and descent. Must be capable of moving relatively fluently on steep, rough, exposed ground. Must have a good head for heights and be comfortable with scrambling. Average Daily Distance: 8-14 miles over 6-10 hours plus stops.

Independent Walking Holidays
In addition to guided walking holidays we also offer independent walking holidays where we do the planning leaving you free to enjoy walking and exploring Scotland.

Outdoor Skills Courses
If you're minded to go adventuring yourself or with friends then you'll quickly realise you need to be self reliant. We offer a range of navigation (NNAS), winter skills and leadership courses enabling you to deal with year round conditions in the countryside. There's bound to be one for you and they're great fun too.

Accommodation
Accommodation is arranged in either hostels, bed and breakfast/guest houses or hotels. Accommodation is on either a full or half board basis.

Guided Day Walks & Short Breaks
All walks are led by a qualified, experienced and knowledgeable leader. Our group sizes are small (typically 4 – 12 walkers) so you can be sure of personal attention from the leader and a quality outdoor experience.
